- 2 cups wholemeal plain flour
- 250g butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup wheatgerm
- ¼ cup water
- Mix flour, salt and wheatgerm in a bowl.
- Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Gradually add the water and mix to a firm dough with a knife.
- Knead pastry on a lightly floured board.
