• 1 onion
  • 1 rasher bacon
  • 1kg mince
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch pepper
  • 2 tbls tomato sauce
  1. Finely chop the onion . Chop the bacon.
  2. Mix the mince, bacon, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape into a meatloaf and put in a greased baking dish.
  4. Spread tomato sauce over it and bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from the dish and use the pan juices to make a gravy.
