Glazed Carrots and Onions
- Peel carrots and cut diagonally into 1 cm slices.
- Peel and slice onions.
- Combine carrots, onions, salt and pepper in a saucepan.
- Cover with boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain well and keep hot.
- Blend brown sugar, cornflour, 3 tablespoons water, butter and lemon juice in a saucepan.
- Stir over low heat until mixture boils and thickens.
- Pour over carrots and onions. Toss lightly to combine.
