French Toast


French Toast
A quick and easy breakfast made from eggs and bread. Great served with bacon and maple syrup. Or even better caramelised banana and bacon!

  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 3-4 slices of bread
  • butter or oil for frying
  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk and seasonings. Heat the butter or oil in a fry-pan on medium heat.
  2. Dip the bread in the egg mixture so that both sides are coated and a bit soaks in. (How much you let soak in is a personal preference)
  3. Fry each slice on each side until golden brown.
  4. Serve with bacon, maple syrup, a big fry up or just on it's own. If using sweet then a dash of vanilla essence can be added to egg mix and the toast sprinkled with sugar.
