Nachos

What culinary delight will grace your table tonight? Or is it leftovers?

Nachos

Tonight we are having nachos cooked by our teenage daughter. She might make fresh guacamole with it I hope! Oh and she loves to throw in a can of baked beans with the mince.. she hates kidney beans but loves those. It tastes ok so I don't mind. I think her recipe (in her head) goes something like this.. Fry 500g or so of mince with onion and garlic. Add a packet of taco seasoning, a can of chopped tomatoes, a can of baked beans and cook for 5 mins or so. Spoon over a plate of corn chips sprinkle cheese on top and put in the oven at 200C (I think). Cook until cheese melts. Serve with sour cream and guacamole. Yummy!

Hmmm sounds good.

When the kids dont like kidney beans i find that mashing them often gets them past the radar.

Tonight its devilled sausages. We were supposed to have them last night but we got naughty and ordered pizza  Now that Janet mentioned sweet potato I am going to get some to have in the mash that absolutely MUST accompany devilled sausages.

Earlier this week we had beef in red wine (crock pot version) mmmmmm and spicy lamb mince (must put the recipe up for that.. its actually spicy pork mince but I couldn't get pork so I got lamb lol)

Tonight we are having crock pot meatloaf. I made in a couple of weeks ago unsure how it would go. I told the tin lids it was 'experiemental meatloaf' and they were scared. But it was damn nice. I might go add it in that recipe section the other bloke was talking about.

I love nachos and what is cool is that you can do so much with nachos. So man different combinations are possible.

Easy to make and my kids love them. One food that you can make a lot of and the leftovers are always good.
