Hi there,

I recently purchased an avanti black granite pestle and mortar and i'm having a bit of trouble . . .

tried mashing up some garlic in it and i found that the garlic started to go black from the granite. i smelled the garlic and could smell a granite/stoney smell coming from it as well.

has anyone every experienced this? and if so is there anything i can do to stop it from happening?
