How many members are on this site??

Postby Spiritwolf on Fri Oct 19, 2007 4:48 pm

:?: I am just curious, but how many members or people use this site?. Do we need to get more people on here as I can only see a handful of people useing this site and it isn't very many. I know you have only just started and I am only a new member, but I thought there would be more people than this on here. Am I being over anxious or is it that not many people know about this site yet, if that is the case, "What can we do to help", there must be a way of getting more people on here, I mean we are Aussies and we love cooking , right, so how do we get people interested?, Its just that the other cooking sites Im on, there are hundreds of people from all over the world on them, even us Aussies, so I thought a cooking site just for us Aussies would be even better and bigger, but so far, there is only a handful of people, where are we all ?? I dont even notice too many new posts , there may be 2 new a month so far, please someone tell me if I am being over critical and I will keep quiet, but I thought us Aussies had more to offer on this site than whats on here so far. Doesnt anyone have any ideas for a new topic, Im sure we have heaps of questions to ask people and heaps of advice to give, so lets go guys, lets get our brains into gear, lets start making new friends, I was hoping to find someone on here that lived near me that we could swap recipes and have a lunch or even talk on here occassionly, but so far its been quiet. What can we do to help, please let me know, I will do my best. I want this to be a great forum, just for us, and any visitors that want to have a say, please feel free.
I hope I haven't offended anyone , I didn"t mean to, I just want this site to work and be as good as it can be, and we all need to have a say, Im having mine now, Thanks for reading it. :)

Hi Spiritwolf
There are about 10 members that post at the moment. We are trying to get new members and I believe it is about to start getting busy. I am working on some advertising over the next couple of weeks so that will help.
:D If you want to help please tell anyone you know about the site. Another way is for anyone who is here to try and post a fair bit because it makes people more likely to join.
No offense taken, its great to see someone interested :D
Regards
Narelle

I am new but I use the site. The main reason I look at it is to see what is hot in the food world and some great Aussie foods to introduce to my American friends.

I have only been using the site for about a week. There needs to be more conversation and talk about foreign foods and local Aussie foods.

:) Thanks Sam, I agree, I guess we just have to try to push people along with new topics until it all clicks with people, we cant do it all, but we can help where we can, I thought I was the only one being paranoid or anxious, Im glad Im not the only one who misses a good old chat from fellow food users and cooks, all I want is to share our experiences and our recipes, new and old. 8-)
