Biscuit Pastry
  • 90g butter
  • ¼ cup castor sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1¼ cups plain flour
  • ¼ cup self-raising flour
  • pinch salt
  1. Beat butter and sugar to a cream.
  2. Add egg and beat well
  3. Sift flours and salt together.
  4. Gradually add to creamed mixture to form a stiff paste.
  5. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly until smooth.
  6. Chill for 10 minutes before using,
  7. Roll out between two sheets of floured greaseproof paper.
  8. Use as required
