Recipe for Small Date Pudding:
1 cup chopped dates 1 cup milk
2 tablespoons
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
1 cup self raising flour

Place dates, milk, butter and sugar into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, stiring constantly while frothing, add sifted flour. Mix well, cover and steam for 1 1/2 hours.
